Wearing:// Dress: Elizabeth & James (Georgia Dress), Jacket: Mackage, Shoes: Steve Madden, Sunnies: Le Spec

Even though these past few weeks of weather have resembled an arctic tundra,  there have been occasional spells of sunshine and opportunities to hang outside in search of vitamin D. When I was last home, we had one of these instances, and so my mom and I went out to shoot in front of these flowers nearby my house. Somehow it has been nearly three weeks since that day, my hair has grown a bit, and prom is this weekend, grad the next. Oh, how time flies. This is my last full week of high school, and prom this Saturday kicks off all of the end year activities, from Strawberry Festival, where we get our yearbooks & eat strawberry shortcakes, to the Alumni induction brunch the day before commencement. In addition to thinking about how quickly my senior year has passed, I have also been considering how wild it is to think that it is almost June of 2016, and that I'll be going to college this year.

After graduation, I will be headed home for a week or so, and then I'm jet-setting to Japan with my mom for a few weeks. I cannot wait to eat more sushi than a person should consume and to take pictures of the beautiful architecture and culture. If you have any recommendations in Tokyo, please send them my way. xoxo Isabelle

18th in New York City

Two weeks ago, my mom, sister, and I met up in New York City to celebrate my birthday with a weekend of eating delicious food and exploring (and some much-needed shopping, let's be honest). For the weeks leading up to my birthday, I think I was in denial that I was actually turning 18, which some people refer to as "adulthood" or being "legal". The only things that have really changed for me are that I can now be honest when I take my Starbucks member surveys, and that I can get my ears pierced by myself. Nevertheless, I will never forget this weekend, and the insane brunch we had at Jack's Wife Freda and the celebrities we encountered when we saw Hamilton on Broadway. Major shoutout to my New Yorker sister Noelle for being our tour guide, and to my lovely mother for organizing the festivities.

I'm going to keep this short, because I have two term papers and a debate going at once, despite only having two full weeks of high-school left. I hope you guys had an enjoyable Mother's Day weekend, wherever in the world you were! xoxo Isabelle
