Taking *full* advantange of my surroundings, I of course had to shoot an outfit on the steps of our hut on the beach. Looking out onto the beach "doing my thang", I recall my troubles of aching sunburn and approaching school stress  fading….it's things like post-vacation blogging that make you realize how starkly  you transition from basking in the sun one day to being nearly bored to tears in the classroom the next. Despite being as weary of change as I am, I realize that change comes often, just like the school days are quickly dwindling down and soon enough I will embark on more travels- New York City, Greece, and other unknown adventures.

Post-vacation depression aside, I really am digging this whole red lip + breton t-shirt dress + gladiator combo I had going on for our smoothie refreshers @ "The Shak". There's nothing that says vacation quite like boxy-striped dresses, head-to-toe sunburn, and brain freeze inducing smoothies.

Hope you guys have a fabulous week ahead of you! Take a smoothie break…or two (or 4). xoxo

Belize Diary

1. Taking in the beauty after hiking to the "Big Rock" 2. Delightful breakfast on our porch in the jungle 3. Sneaky butterfly at the butterfly farm 3. Insane cookie/soy ice-cream dessert for lunch 4. "Charlie" the horse 5. Snap from my last post at the beach 5. Colorful shacks by the water in the nearby town 6. Paradise 7. Little selfie action with my favorite mom-ographer

I finally got around to sorting through my maybe a 1,000 photos from Belize into this photo diary. Keeping with the nature of the trip, the order transitions from our jungle adventures to relaxing on the wondrous beaches. As much as I wish I were back in time, actually living these photos, the cold (literally…snow? c'mon) reality of school awaits.

Sorry to keep this short, but we're in the midst of a track 'preseason' week and I am ready to collapse on the floor. I really wish I were kidding. But get excited, because I've got one or two more posts from Belize coming very soon. ♥ xoxo

Mid-day yesterday (pre-stand up paddle boarding and hammock lounging), my mom-ographer and I decided to capture at least some of the wondrous beauty that is Belize. If it weren't for my array of peeling and bug bites, we probably would've done blog posts all day everyday. But nonetheless, here are some shots from paradise (more to come in a photo diary), featuring what I wore for the latter of our adventurous trip- shorts, tanks, swim suits, and bare feet. Ah, simplicity.

However, all good things must come to an end…and a very abrupt one at that. Despite just returning home today, I return back to reality aka school tomorrow, with last minute assignments already brewing in my email. How lovely. But fear not, I will be back soon with more snaps from Belize very soon! Hope you guys have a fabulous week where ever you may be. xo Isabelle

Somehow amid the sweltering heat and hours spent burying my nose in Insurgent (umm... the ending!?), I managed to shoot some outfit photos here in Belize. I'd say what tore me from the comfortable couch in our room and the impeccable view is my uncanny love for this outfit. By the time I finished pulling the pieces together, I realized it sorta had some festival vibes going on, which I quite like. #coachelladreaming anyone? I mean, what could be any better than laced heels, vintage floral shorts, a floppy hat, and a scalloped crop top? Not much.

After spending nearly all of yesterday in the sun and starting today off with a rigorous hike to a waterfall, I think the idea of doing nothing is almost appealing. To my unfortunate luck, the stirrups on my horse yesterday were a wee bit short and now I have a nice limp on my left leg, as well as a collection of bug bites. However, after a zip line trip tomorrow morning, we will begin our trek to the beach portion of this trip, which is extremely gratifying. Hoping you are having a smoother start to your week! xo

Being the Tumblr addict and internet junkie I am, I am constantly gathering inspiration from just about anything. I try not to 'reblog' too much of one thing, but Kylie Jenner's outfits are an exception. My favorite of her outfit combos is the ever-so trusty 'boyfriend jeans + graphic tee + ankle booties + cross body + edgy jacket = perfection' look. Not only is there a high level of comfort (not kidding, I've worn these jeans everyday this past week), but style as well…and lets not forget the French days of the week on the tee! Can't get enough.

Just a very quick little post professing my love for Kylie Jenner and French graphic tees. I should probably go to bed and turn off the Princess Diaries soundtrack now seeing as we depart for the airport in approximately 5 hours (!!). Direct flights at far airports are a struggle. Hope you guys are doing well and just wanted to let you know I be a bit M.I.A. if the wifi situation at the hotels doesn't work out. Nonetheless, I will be back to share my adventures very very soon. xx

Packing Pursuits

In my free time that I don't spend watching Gossip Girl (ugh, almost on season 6), I sometimes am productive….and make videos. Here's just a little video of roughly what I packed for my upcoming trip, of course forgetting a bajillion important things. Coming out of a brutal winter, I know packing for tropical locations can be difficult, so hopefully this helps you in getting through the terrors of packing. Let me know what you guys think of doing more videos and if you have any post requests! Hope you all are having a good week. I'll be back with a new post very soon.  Also, make sure to watch in HD!

Day to Night | Cutout Leather Skirt

I find that in these awkward transition seasons that versatile pieces are almost completely imperative. That being said, I thought I'd show you all two looks styling a cut out leather skirt from day to night. I've found that pieces with unique trimming and/or details in general are somewhat hard to style, so hopefully this is helpful! Let me know what you guys think. Also, if you have any specific post requests, be sure to leave me a comment of those, as well as how you'd style this skirt. Enjoy! xx

Day

Wearing:// Top: Joie (Different print here), Skirt: LF (Similar here, here, and here),     Jacket: Mother Denim, Shoes: Vans, Necklace: Dogeared, Rings: LF

The perfect dark floral print and a denim jacket can do wonders for this normally deemed dressy skirt. To keep the focus on the detailing of the skirt, I like to keep things laid back on top and simple for my jewelry, opting for my everyday necklace/rings. The look is finished with just about any shoes you please; you could swap out the vans either for some chelsea boots or plain flats, depending on what look you're going for. Grab a simple cross body on your way out the door and you're fashionably ready to tackle the day ahead.

Night

Wearing:// Top: Unknown (?), Skirt: LF (Similar herehere, and here),  Jacket: Sisley, Shoes: Steve Madden, Earrings: Rebecca Minkoff (Similar here)

I'd say this skirt is most easily dressed up over dressed down. I paired it here with a marble-like dressy shirt that goes surprisingly perfect with my cropped beige leather jacket. With such a such a simplistic look, you could either don a bib necklace of sorts or go for some statement earrings like mine. To complete the look, I kept it streamline with tights + d'orsay flats, but if you can bear the pain of heels, all the power to you (heeled booties are ideal here). Finish with a sparkly clutch waaayy over your budget and you're set.

After spending the entire day shopping- no lie, the entire day, I am just about ready to collapse….with Gossip Girl playing of course. Spring break is treating me well and it's only the second day of TV marathons, food clutched in my hands 24-7, and not a worry in sight. As much as I like doing, well, nothing, I am quite excited to bury my nose in 'Divergent', sip on exotic drinks, and run among the monkeys in Belize….not really but something like that, haha. Sorry again for the mini hiatus but I shall be back with some enchanting vacation posts very soon! Lots of luv
