Glamazon

Something about the weather getting colder makes me feel entitled to dress as if I came straight out of the Carrie Diaries. I often take the brisk fall weather as an opportunity to dress like the New Yorker I aspire to be, despite the glares I receive in my jeans, uggs, and a sweater kind-of town. For this lunch date look , I was clad in a fluffy jacket (that I strangely can't stop stroking), a quilted motor-cycle skirt, my cut-out booties that I can't bear to take off, and some sassy sunnies. The ultimate glamazon combination.

Speaking of the Carrie Diaries, how good was the first episode this season? I swear, I am vicariously living through Carrie- I am so jealous of her! Maria of Avenue M  and I can't stop gushing over this show. Who else is obsessed?

P.S. I shall be joining the tumblr craze/addiction soon! I will update you all once I make one- I would love to answer some questions for you guys. Hope you are all doing well! xo

Change

After scrolling through these photos, you're probably wondering why this post is entitled "Change". Well to be honest, something has changed; I cut my hair! Believe it or not, I recently chopped a whopping two inches off of my hair. *gasp* Those two inches mean a lot to someone like me who shudders at the thought of a trim. In case I strolled out of a salon with a jagged bob, I decided to look at least half decent doing it. My "courageous" look consisted of a basic white lace dress and a denim vest, finished off with my Docs (and socks which annoyingly fell down).

I hope you're all having a better day today than me! I managed to a) fall up the stairs and create an array of bruises on my knee b) botch a test I studied quite a bit for c) walk past one of my classrooms the second month into school. Joy. Hope you are all doing well and having a good day!

P.S. If you haven't already, be sure to enter my giveaway in my last post *here*! :)

Sunday Morning

Any chance I get to dress up, I practically leap at the opportunity. However, my not-so glamourous prisoner, aka student life doesn't entail many of these occasions. To fill the glam "New York lifestyle" void in my life, I tend to wear sequins. A lot. Today, I wore a glitzy-gold sequined skirt, my absolute favorite studded booties, and finished the look with a cut-out crop top and relaxed bomber jacket for a very cold autumn day. I hope you enjoyed this post and that you had a relaxing weekend! Look out for an exciting post coming in the next few weeks.

Scrolling through my latest posts, I decided that I have been feeling quite edgy lately- I guess that is what fall does to  you. Straying away from my typical spring/summer dress and platforms look, this fall I have been completley taken by tights (unintentionally ripped ones), distressed jackets, and boots. Keeping with my whole "I must transition my summer pieces" movement, for this look, I paired one of my many ripped pairs of tights with some slashed high waisted shorts and a beyond bold graphic tee. Oh so edgy.

Fall long weekend is so close I can taste it. 9 days to be exact. I am so excited to go home and stay home for more than a mere 24 hours, which usually  consists of just catching up on homework. I can assure you that this long weekend will be spent sleeping in, seeing my best-friends, and of course, blogging to my heart's content. I cannot wait.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Also, is it just me or does my hair look somewhat blonde in these photos? I suppose tennis has brought this and my newfound tan lines about. I am not complaining.
