With summer around the corner (only a week for me!), my abundance of summer clothing has been growing. Of the many outfit combinations I will be wearing, this is one of my favorites. High-waisted shorts are one of my many summer closet staples, in addition to sunnies and Docs. When it comes to accessories, however, you will always see me sporting bright nail polish, and a light and flirty perfume. What are your summer essentials?

I hope you enjoyed this post! Finals begin on Monday and end Thursday, which meant this last week of school was as stressful as ever. Teachers don't seem to understand we have other classes beside theirs. However, I am going to attempt leaving my study cave of a room to let loose, and possibly shoot  an outfit post. Otherwise, I will have a post up next Friday or Saturday when I am home. Sorry for the pause in posts! Have a great weekend.

Among girly things, the polka dot print happens to one of my absolute favorites. Whether it is a polka dot dress, headband, or pants; I have to have it! In addition to featuring my favorite print of the moment, my skirt also has dainty buttons down the front, which was another selling point. While exploring the treasures of clothing in Urban Outfitters, I came across this simple yet feminine top, with scalloped edges and small cutouts, which I could not pass up. To complete the look, I added my new sandals from Made Well. I have been on the hunt for some "Frenchie" shoes, as I would say, for quite some time and I think I've found them! I have to say this is definitely not the last time you will be seeing them.

Ah yes, the school countdown continues. Only seventeen days left! I can't believe school is finally ending. I will be doing some sort of summer themed post talking about my summer plans, which most likely will go up soon after school ends. Lastly, what do you guys think of this picture size? I think it is a lot better than the minuscule size I had previously. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post and had a relaxing weekend! Have a great week.

-What you'll need-

-2 ripe bananas
-1 1/2 cups frozen blueberries
-1 1/4 cups raspberry sherbet
-3/3 cup fat free frozen yogurt
-1 cup berry blend juice, plu 1/4 cup more as needed
-8 ice cubes

-Directions-

Add bananas, blueberries, raspberry sherbet, frozen yogurt and berry blend juice to a blender, cover with lid and blend until well blended. Add ice and blend until ice is fully processed and ice pieces no longer remain. Serve immediately.

Living where I do, there aren't many "big name" stores or restaurants. One of the many places I love but don't have within reach is Jamba Juice, which has smoothies and other fruit products. When my mom stumbled upon this copycat recipe from Cooking Classy, she knew we had to try it out. I have to say, I am not much of a blueberry person, but the various flavors all mix for a cup of yum! Let me know if you try this recipe out and what you think! Enjoy!

P.S. School is finally over in twenty-three days! Woo hoo! Without school, I will be able to put forth more effort in my blog, which is really exciting. I will do my best to update in these final weeks, but posts may vary with exams and school festivities. As always, thank you for reading!

I am always on the lookout for unique pieces. Especially lately, I have been very motivated to update my wardrobe. A new addition to my unique collection is this dress, which not only has intricate tribal threading, but cutouts on the side as well. I think this is an interesting design, and definitely more wearable than a back cut out. I wore this outfit out to dinner with my family for my birthday, so I decided to add a denim vest to be a little more modest. And surprise surprise, I wore my platforms! I really need to find another pair of shoes to alternate with.......nah.

Thanks for reading!
