In a Whirlwind

Products:// Dress: Bar III, Jacket: Bar III, Shoes: Doc Marten

With the weather warming up (60 degrees at most), I pounced at the opportunity to wear a dress- without tights. However, to my dismay, it isn't quite warm enough to go without a jacket, so I threw on this denim/sweatshirt jacket to add some warmth. Now, I don't know if it is just me, but I have noticed every blogger seems to have a certain pair of shoes they wear in almost every post, frequently in general. I have decided my trusty Docs are those for me. They are comfortable beyond belief and look adorable.

Sorry for the delay in posts! School has been so hectic, but thankfully we are on a long weekend until Monday. Look forward to some new posts! Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great weekend.

South America Photo Diary Pt. 2

Today's post is a follow up to my South America Photo Diary Pt. 1! Most of these pictures were toward the end of the trip, when we were in Rio/Argentina ,if you were wondering. By the way,I am going home for Easter (Yipeee!), with which I will create some new posts. Look out for a DIY and Easter break post in the near future! Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend.

Products:// Top: Ay Not Dead (South American Store), Skirt: Brandy Melville, Shoes: Argentinian Designer, Bag: Streets of Rio

Normally I tend to stick in the mainstream spectrum of fashion. I am not much of a trend follower, but I usually gravitate towards "the new thing." However, when I found these platform shoes in a small shop in Buenos Aires, I just had to have them. The only downside of these shoes is that they are so heavy, you have to be aware of yourself walking, or else you will twist your ankle (trust me). If you were wondering, my bag is a 'zipper bag', which means that you can unzip it to literally nothing, which is quite unique. Sorry for some bypassers in the background, but this street in Rio was very busy! Hope you all are having a great week!

South America Photo Diary Pt. 1

As you may or may not know, I ventured to South  America for my spring break. Specifically, I went to Chile, Argentina, and Brazil. I took all of the pictures I am not in, just so you know. I had a blast exploring these adventurous locations and I hope you enjoy my photo diary (part 1).

P.S. The dimensions and quality are a little off because the pictures have gone from my camera ---> my computer ---> Blogger. Sorry!

Spring Nails

Despite the black and white trend bursting for this spring, I always have to incorporate color into my spring/summer looks. Instead of choosing eye-catching in-your-face neons, I like to sport subtle colors like these for a winter to spring transition. All of the colors pretty much speak for them selves, however, the first one changes into the lilac color on the cap when exposed to the sun (awesome!). If you have a Del Sol store near you,  I would surely recommend you check it out.

Colors from left to right: Del Sol's "Super Hero", Sephora by OPI's "How cute is that?", Essie's "Where's my chauffeur?", OPI's "Pink Friday"

Thanks for reading!

Products:// Top and Headband: Urban Outfitters, Skirt: Kendall and Kylie for Pacsun, Boots: Doc Marten

I have to say, looking at these pictures, that holding down my skirt while fighting against the treacherous wind and obtaining a tangled mess of my hair was quite worth it. While in Bariloche Argentina, we stayed at one of the prettiest hotels I have been to. Massive mountains surrounded us while nature truly exposed itself. When it comes to this adorable outfit, I do admit that I probably wouldn't wear the headband in public, mostly because of the headache that developed. Aside from that, I love it! Although this headband may not be a DIY, I was thinking of doing one with my own spin on it. Look forward to photo diaries from my vacation in the next week, along with *fingers crossed* some more outfit posts!

Yesterday we visited the Iguazu falls which was absolutely breathtaking. A mind-blowing fact I learned is that in one second,  the falls release half a million gallons of water! Today we visited the falls again, today in Brazil, but the persistent rain somewhat tainted the view and my soggy shoes for me. None the less, the falls were and are spectacular! Later today we boarded a plane to Rio, which is where I am typing from! Thanks for reading and the continuous support. I hope you all have a great day!

Interview with Emma of iEmma Fashion

Emma is a 14 year old girl from Hungary, with aspirations to end up in the fashion world. She posts girly yet edgy looks on her blog iEmma Fashion, which you can see below. She also did an interview of me, so click here to check it out! I adore Emma, so I hope you all get a chance to look at her blog, which is definitely worth looking at.

Q: What inspired you to begin blogging?

A: I was 11 when I started my blog. I always loved fashion and clothes and my parents told me maybe I should write a fashion blog. First, I simply posted my fashion drawings and ideas, and then I shared my outfits. I know, it's sounds like a cliché, but Tavi was the person who inspired me to transform my blog into a real fashion blog.

Q: What is your idea of the perfect day?

A: Waking up in New York City and having a cup of Starbucks cappucino, then going around the city and taking street style photos, for lunch I would go to a classic American diner for a hamburger. In the afternoon I would be invited for a fashion show (Chanel, or Burberry, or Chloe... :D), and I would have a chance to meet with the famous designers and other creative people. And then in the evening I would definitely visit a live music club for a concert and a lemonade. At the end of the day I would go up to the Empire State Building, watching the Big Apple by night.

Q: What are your go to shops?

A: My favorite shops are: Zara, H&M, Forever21, Bershka.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: My style always changes. It's so mixed, but I have some favorite clothes and brands. But I like girlish items and I like to mix them with something wild.

Q: In your spare time, what would you be most likely doing?

A: I like doing sports (aerobics, skiing, volleyball, swimming, etc), and drawing, reading books or magazines, checking fashion blogs, sewing and meeting friends.

Hope you enjoyed! Thanks for reading.

Ying and Yang

Ah yes, the mod trend which has everyone buzzing. Seen on runways from Louis Vuitton to Balmain, this trend has taken the fashion world by storm. Not only are the shapes of the 60s being seen, but black and white in general as well. Normally spring and summer scream neon, but this season (spring at least) is all about classic shapes and sophisticated colors. And to my surprise, the runway looks seem to be more wearable than usual for the everyday person, which is delightful to see. I personally would wear this look with a light-weight white top, a leather bomber, dark skinny jeans, and basic black heels. Hoping you, my lovely readers, had a great week! Look out for some exciting posts coming up!
