Products:// Top: Joie,  Pants: Pacsun c/o Allison, Boots: Tory Burch

Do you ever have a "to die for" piece in your wardrobe and a lacking in something to pair it with? Well...., I tend to have several of these un-favorable days turn up. I turned to my crony/best friend Allison (she is shown in this post) for a pair of pants to pair with this delicate Joie top. Luckily enough, she had this pair of burgundy-oxblood-whatever-you-want-to-call-it pants in my size. Originally, I had paired the top, pants, and riding boots alone, but I felt a lacking, so I added this necklace from Forever 21.

With all of the trendy pieces I have been featuring lately, I thought I would direct you to Modocat.com, an online store which features a range of pieces that you wouldn't find anywhere else. Use the code 'LOSTBUTNOTFOUND' for a 60% discount. Thanks for reading! Hope you are having/had a wonderful day!

Products:// Dress: Zara Mexico,  Booties: Steve Madden,  Clutch: Chanel

Today I was having one of those days where you feel edgy yet girly, which is what this outfit was the product of. I recently found this dress in Zara and I am obsessed! The detailing on the shoulders are the focal point of this dress, as well as the mini cut out on the back (not shown.) To play up the "5 shades of grey" (haha) in the detailing, I paired my newest purse from Chanel- thank you Santa. This entire outfit has small hints of gunmetal, like in the shoulder detailing, the purse, and the studding on the booties which is quite out of my comfort zone. However, my dress being a dress keeps my true girly self incorporated.

Today's dog of the day is my family's one year old Portuguese water dog named Bentley! Do you guys have any pets?

By the way, I just wanted to tell you all I was accepted into the Teen Vogue Fashion Click blogger program, which I am beyond excited about! I remember checking my account everyday to see if I had been accepted, and it finally happened! Thanks again for reading and your continued support.

Wildrose

I have been getting great feedback lately on my beauty posts, so I decided I would do a "current love" type post today. This standout product is the Korres Lip Butter in wildrose. From the photos, you can see this pot of lip color may be intimidating by its deep appearance. Initially, I thought about going for a different shade because of this factor. However, when testing it out, I learned it is a very buildable product, as well as a sheerable (is this a word?) product. Darker lips look better on me than pale pinks, so I have found myself often reaching for this product. Besides the obvious color importance, something I also need in a lip product is moisture. As  I write this post, I am continuously rubbing my lips together because of the silkiness within this Korres product. One negative aspect which might be a turn off to some people is the jar. I personally love how easy it is to swipe some on and go, but others may be too much of a germaphobe.

Thank you for reading! Leave me a comment of what your favorite product of the moment is.

Products:// Top: H&M,  Skirt: Lulus.com, Wedges: Tory Burch

I have been on the hunt for a killer skirt to pair with this dainty pearled top for a while, and I found this gold one from Lulus.com. The pleating on this unique piece adds texture to this outfit, which I adore, since most of my outfits are cotton. With the teeth chattering whether in New Jersey, I decided to pair this outfit with opaque black tights (for fashion and the sake of my shivering legs), tying in the black of the top. To keep the streamline appearance, I knew black shoes were essential, and these wedges seem to get the job done, plus they have ability to give me some much needed height to my 5'5" frame.

Sorry for the lack of text on this post, I have written this post a total of three times now and it has deleted every time. Fingers crossed this goes up as planned!

What is the weather like where you live? Shoot me a comment! Thanks for reading!

Elle Czech x Louis Vuitton

As usual, Elle has stunned me again. When perusing through recent magazine covers and shoots, I came across what I believe is "Elle Czech"'s January edition. The entire collection of pictures feature a glamorous model clad in Louis Vuitton (aka every girl's dream). Some things which struck me to create this post purely on this cover shoot are the sets. The  clothing alone is channeling a very modern take on the 60s, and the geometric influences in the sets correspond well with that.

Speaking of the sets/backgrounds, I can't help but focus on the bull dog in the first picture. Am I alone? What do you think of these photos from the cover shoot? Comment below! Thanks for reading!

Products:// Top: Shasa in Mexico,  Shorts: Urban Outfitters,  Flats: Christian Louboutin

While in Mexico, I knew it was somewhat my duty to take advantage of the scenery and shoot at least one fashion post, so here it is! When exploring the gorgeous hotel, I found this location, perfect for this outfit. In addition to having a whimsical youthful feel, this outfit is also comfy beyond what meets the eye, which I give a virtual thumbs up. I believe I mentioned this in a previous post, but those battle wound I-just-was-attacked red marks are the result of pale little me exposed to a blazing sun. I am writing this a few days later, and I can assure you I am recovering with my best-friend named "Aloe Vera." In other irrelevant topics, how are you guys dealing with post-christmas depression? I am slowly but surely listening to my christmas playlist less and less. So, moving forward with our lives, what is your new year's resolution?  Please leave me a comment! I light up inside when I see those rare comments every few posts, so please do so, even if you just say hi! Also, if you haven't already, I would appreciate if you would like my Facebook page (<--- click).

Also, I think I can justify saying I am getting the hang of my picture situation! I have figured out how to make them more streamline, so look forward to pictures of this stature!

Best of 2012

If it wasn't already obvious, today I am going to be talking about the best of 2012! However, these are my "favorites" of 2012, so my collage like the one above might be different than yours and your picks. Hope you like this post and if you get a chance, comment some of your favorites of this year. Happy 2013!

1. Vacation: If you haven't caught on with the abode of trips I have mentioned (and not; like Australia!), I am quite the traveler. My mom has always wanted to travel the world, which meant I got to tag along, which I am very fortunate to be able to. Spring break of 2012 I went to London/Paris with my family and had the time of my life. I truly wish I had started my blog by then for the sake of photography; the fashion in both places was insane!

2. Hair trend: Although I have yet to don the famed crown braid on my blog, I have made it my mission to stuff my thick hair into some sorts of braids to achieve this goal. As usual, braids are a trend in themselves, but the crown braid, two braids laid over each other, has made a name for itself. When Google searching this look, I saw it on celebrities, bloggers, and everyday people like you and me.

3. Hair Product: In a group of ten people, if you were to ask them their favorite hair product of 2012, most likely no one would have the same answer. If I were asked, "Its A 10" miracle leave in product would be my answer. I saw this product being hyped about in magazines, and took a chance with it by buying the travel size just in case I disliked it. The next day after my first use I implored for my mom to drive me to Ulta to buy me the biggest bottle available. When the title claims this is a miracle product, it is seriously not lying. Your hair feels like a horse's mane once dry and all you want to do is touch it.

4. Fashion Trend: With every season there is a myriad of different trends listed on Teen Vogue. My personal favorite was the metallic trend. This movement of color was a step outside the box of the trends like "Neon" or "Oxblood". Yes, I listed this as a fashion trend, but I even saw it in the beauty world eye shadow wise when researching metallic. Don't worry, there is no such thing as metallic gold lipstick-at least I hope not.

5. Celebrity: Taylor Swift climbed her way to the top of the social ladder this year. She announced her "Red Tour" and even released her album also entitled "Red". Taylor was not only in the news for her music, but her fashion choices as well. She has definitely matured from her boho flared jean phase. Another thing she has become famous for is her boyfriend rotation, but I would rather not talk about her and Harry Styles *whimper*.

6. TV Show: I doubt Pretty Little Liars will never stop being my favorite TV show, and it also remains my favorite book series as well. The suspenseful drama is so enticing that missing an episode tends to make my heart ache. If anyone from ABC Family is reading this, then let me say, keep up the good work.

7. Book: Ah yes, the Hunger Games. Most people will be raving about the movie, but I would rather rave about the book. I read it in 7th grade (two years ago), but seeing the movie just made me realize how much I loved the books even more. If we hadn't been required to read this novel in school, I would've avoided the gory content, but I am glad I didn't.

8. Mascara: Benefit's They're Real mascara tops my drawer of mascaras as my favorite of 2012. It lengths, volumes, and makes your eyelashes the blackest black. There isn't much for me to say but try it yourself. I recommend trying the $10 travel size instead of taking the $23 plunge.

9. Accessory Trend: Let's face it- hair bows were huuuuge this year. I myself have never participated in this trend, but I know for a fact that anyone within 20 miles of an American Apparel store has worn one at least once. A newer way of wearing them that I do appreciate is at the end of a braid, which adds a girly touch. Here is my blog post on this accessory movement.

So, as 2012 comes to an end, I just wanted to thank everyone reading this for helping my blog come this far. The highlight of my year was starting my blog, which I hope to continue for many more years to come. Make the best out of the clean canvas you have been given and paint your year with your own paint brush.
