Neon Lovin'

As most of you know, neons have been a huge trend for summer. Instead of wearing a neon shirt and shorts and basically screaming ,"I love trends!" with my outfit, I enjoy more subtle pops of color. Therefore, I welcomed this beauty into my collection. Originally I bought this purse for my school band trip, but I have found it is a perfect everyday purse as well. It is quite spacious as well as fashionable, which is sometimes hard to find. Whether I am going to lunch with my friends, or simply biking around town, this gem usually finds itself upon my shoulder.

Today I was more productive than yesterday for sure. Although the temperature may have dwindled down, the sun was very much shining. I biked around my neighborhood, went back to my friends house and had delectable food, and finished off the hang-out "session" with a throwback movie marathon (Grease, Tarzan, Belle). Finally, I went off to tennis class, and now I am curling up in a ball preparing myself for Pretty Little Liars. Hope you all had a wonderful day!

P.S. Please excuse my terrible nails in my past two posts!  I am repainting them today, expect a food post tomorrow!

Top: Free People
Shorts: Nasty Gal

Lip Color: Posie Tint by Benefit

Cheesin'

Leaf necklace: Local

I decided to keep with the gold hardware theme by adding this Marc Jacobs cross body

To change up the rather hipster look, I added these preppy loafers
Shoes: Sperry Topsider

With the sun shining, I decided to break out my high-waisted shorts and peter pan collared shirt. Typically I wear shorts and a tee shirt in the 100 degree weather here, but today I wanted to "step up" my outfit.  Anyway, I am especially obsessed with the light wash of my shorts-I think they balance my top well. As mentioned below the picture of my shoes, I think the loafers add a preppy feel, while the rest of my outfit is no where near preppy . I would describe this laid-back outfit as bohemian, preppy, and somewhat edgy. Something I wanted to be very prominent within this outfit is the gold hardware. My arm candy, necklace, and cross-body all possess this quality.

Today I basically did close to nothing; I played tennis with my brother ,went shopping, and began my blog. Hopefully I am more productive tomorrow, but I guess Summer is the time to be a lazy coach potato. Tomorrow will probably be another fashion post, so keep your eyes out for that.
