Birds and Buttons

Blazer: Elizabeth and James, Top: H&M, Pants: JCrew

Boots: Frye

So, I have to say, being home has allowed me to uncover hidden "treasures", one of which is this blazer. I received this on my last birthday and sported it quite often in the time before summer. I am guessing I overlooked this gem in my collecting of clothing for school. I love the way this blazer can serve as a pop of color for any outfit. It amps up the overall mood of this bland black and white pairing. However, despite the simplicity of it, I am in love with the birds on my shirt, which add a girly touch.  To keep a simple and classic streamline look,I decided on basic black riding boots for shoes.

How would you style a bold blazer?

What you'll need

1. Base and Top Coat

2. Any three colors

3. White Nail Polish

4. Sponge

5. Nail Polish remover and q-tips

6. Material to work on (Ex: My Hawaiian sheet)

Begin by applying a base coat to all of your nails

Next, apply two coats of white nail polish

Cut your sponge to the shape of your nail

Paint your three colors on your sponge in a horizontal manner

Before this step, make sure your white coat is completely dry. Slowly and lightly press your sponge onto your nail. Dab the colors on from side to side (like pictured) to get the most opaque results.

Grab your q-tips and nail-polish remover and remove what isn't wanted on your skin

Finish off the look with a top coat

You're finished! Enjoy your nails!

If you try these nails out, please post a picture to my Facebook page!

Top: Delia's (Pretty Little Liar Shirt), Pants: Juicy Couture, Jacket: Denim Habit

Bracelets from top to bottom: Inland Fashion, Stella and Dot

Boots: Steve Madden

This outfit is nothing but youthful. I have been having trouble matching things other than white tops with these pants. I do admit it is my fault I bought these wild card pants. Anyway, instead of wearing the expected, I kept with the darkness of the bold blue in the pants by keeping my top and accessories dark as well. Not only is the light jacket pictured fashionable, but quite warm as well. I sported this outfit to the movies recently, and kept toasty with this staple.Something I love about the combo of my graphic tee, jacket, and combat boots is they can go with pants as wild as these, or even a simple pair of jeans. Then again, everyone knows black goes with everything. The main reason I bought these pants is because of the comfort of them, as well as the fun factor. I could either wear them out shopping or even a concert/party, which I think it is always exciting to find a piece which is capable of this. When it comes to my accessories, I'd say these boots are quite the statement, which I think finish off the entire outfit better than converse or flats would.

P.S. Don't be surprised if you see me wearing these pants......everyday.

How do you feel about printed pants?

Also, happy Thanksgiving to those of you celebrating!
